Perry yawned and slowly lifted her head from her paws. Looking around, Perry purred as the warm daylight filtered through the glass back door onto Perry's bed-onto her. Perry smoothly lifted herself from her bed to stretch. After stretching, Perry wadded around the kitchen, her paws burning on the cold, tile floor. Any minute now, her House Folk would wake up and open the Kitty Door for Perry to go outside. In waiting, the young she-cat sat down on her bed and began to clean herself. As she was doing so, the male House Folk, Johnathon, padded downstairs and squatted down, unlocking the Kitty Door. Johnathon rubbed Perry between her ears before tromping back up the carpeted staircase. Perry let out a purr of delight and shot out the Kitty Door. Without even slowing down, Perry leaped up gracefully onto the fence and over it. Perry stood silently on the soft grass beneath her paws. She stared out into the forest. Today is going to be the day that I confront those forest cats and aqquire myself to show them that I am fit enough to join their leagues.Thought Perry. She began to walk into the forest. But the moment her paws left the soft, warm grass to the crinkled up leaves, a voice made Perry whirl around. "Hello there, Perry!" Another she-cat called up from her fence. Perry sighed in relief and nodded. "Good morning, Norway." Perry meowed. "Where are you going?" Norway asked, leaping down from the fence. Her belly dragged on the grass in the making of walking over to Perry. First the cutter to make my best friend lazy and unexciting! What a difference of life! I'm glad I'm about to get out of here while I still can."I'm going to confront those forest cats and ask if I can join them." Perry replied nonchalantly, flinching at Norway's face of pure terror and horror. "You can't go into their territory!" gasped Norway. "They'll rip you to shreds! They'll eat you! They'll use your bones to sharpen their claws and fangs! They'll... They'll!" "Calm down!" Perry twined her tail with Norway's until the older she-cat let her fur lie flat. "The least they can do is not accept me into their home. But I know I'm worthy of it." Perry mewed softly. Norway shrugged. "You area pretty good hunter and fighter." she admitted. "Will we see each other again?" Perry shrugged. "I don't know." She meowed. "I may be too busy with my training, or hunting. But maybe I'll slip out once or twice a week to visit you." Norway rubbed her muzzle against Perry's. "It's going to be sooo boring without you." Norway exaggerated. Perry let out a purr of amusement and flicked her tail. "Now, Norway, goodbye for now." Perry turned and padded out of her own territory and into the forest. When she looked back at Norway, the she-cat was staring after her old friend. Slowly, the deeper Perry went into the forest, Norway vanished into the trees. Perry turned back to her destination. The strange smell of the forest cats filtered up her nose. The more the she-cat kept going, the more she felt she was being watched. Suddenly, Perry froze. A rustle in the bushes and a twitch of something brown appeared beneath the leaves. Mouse! Well, maybe if I catch something, I can show them how could of a hunter I am and be let into their home.Perry mentioned to herself, getting into a hunting crouch. She waited patiently, her amber eyes staring directly into the leaves as she watched the wood mouse slowly scamper overground. Perry leaped and swiped the mouse with one paw, flinging it to the ground. With a quick nip on the neck, the mouse went limp, dead. Perry picked up the mouse in her jaws and continued walking. More scents of cats flooded up her nose. Perry found herself looking over a clearing before long, filled with almost a hundred cats! (WindClan camp) Perry looked down at the clearing and leaped into it. She padded warily into the camp, and in moments, all eyes were on her. Perry looked up at the cat on the high stone, which was probably the leader. Perry dropped the mouse to her paws. "I bring an offering." She meowed over the silence. "A wood mouse to show you how good of a hunter I am." Perry pushed the mouse towards one of the cats. "I am also an excellent fighter. My name is Perry, and I wish to join you forest cats in the exhiliration of being free."
